Terms of Service
These terms form an agreement between you and SportCardSnap (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using the app or this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
SportCardSnap is a mobile app and website that lets you scan sports trading cards, view identification details and estimated values, keep a personal collection, and list or browse cards for sale in a marketplace. Features can change over time, and some may be offered only in certain regions or on certain devices.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the service.
- You may delete your account from within the app or by contacting us.
3. Purchases
Some features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and are subject to their terms and refund policies. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings. We do not process payments directly.
4. Marketplace rules
If you list, browse or contact sellers, you agree that:
- you own the card or have the right to sell it, and the listing is accurate, including condition, grading and price;
- you will not post counterfeit, stolen, prohibited or illegal items, or items you are not allowed to sell;
- you will not use listings to harass, scam, mislead or spam other users, and you will not share anyone's personal information without consent;
- transactions happen between you and the other user. We are not a party to the sale, do not hold payment, and do not guarantee the item, its condition or the other user's conduct.
We may remove listings, restrict accounts, or block users who break these rules. Users can report listings and block other users from within the app.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape at scale, overload, or interfere with the service; attempt unauthorized access; upload malicious code; or use the service in a way that violates the law or other people's rights.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and listings you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process and display them as needed to operate the service, including showing marketplace listings on this website and in the app.
7. Intellectual property
The app, website, design, software and our trademarks belong to us or our licensors. Player names, team names, logos, card images and brands belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and reference only. See the Disclaimer.
8. Estimates and results
Identification results and values are estimates and may be wrong. Do not rely on them as the only basis for a purchase, sale, grading decision or valuation. See the Disclaimer.
9. Availability
We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or change parts of the service for maintenance, security or legal reasons.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of cards or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your marketplace activity, or your breach of these terms.
12. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or where we must do so by law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where SportCardSnap operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country still apply.
